Do I have USB 3.0?

[ Edited ]

I have an HP Pavilion dv7.  The model number is WW183AV.  Does it have USB 3.0?

Re: Do I have USB 3.0?

The HP product number WW18AV doesn't bring up much information. Referencing another post leads me to believe you have a HP Pavilion dv7t-4100 CTO Entertainment Notebook Computer. For some reason HP, doesn't seem to post any specs for CTO (configure-to-order) laptops. Looking at the HP Pavilion dv7 Entertainment PC Maintenance and Service Guide, indicates that there are 3 USB 2.0 ports and no USB 3.0 ports. It doesn't appear that your have USB 3.0 ports on your system.

Re: Do I have USB 3.0?

There should be a model # or name on the bottom of your computer... maybe inside the battery compartment. It should look like "dv7t-4100" or similar. Compare the four digits to numbers in service manual.

Re: Do I have USB 3.0?

Check the USBs on the left of the notebook, you should see ‘ss’ labelled besides USB that are 3.0 compatible. New notebooks should have USB 3.0.
