I have a Dv5-1005TX laptop that I bought under a year ago, and recently the battery stopped working. It said that it had 100% charge, but when I pulled the power cord out, the computer died. I took the battery out and put it back in, and tried again. Same thing happened. I have since run it using the power cord, and the battery icon slowly dropped from 100% down to 0%. Any suggestions on what I should do?

If your laptop didnt reached the 1 year age yet (batteries have 1 year warranty), call HP support, (all contries have a phone number) and they will send you a brand new battery. I did it too a month ago, and now I have 2 battery now, cause you can keep the old one too...
