I'm unable to open my HP Envy. I have seen the YouTube video on opening it. I have opened DV7's before.
I removed the two screws and the cover is still stuck.
Any ideas? I'm trying to add an SDD drive.
Thanks...

According to your Service Manual, You have to remove the Battery, memory module cover, then the hard drive cover
I have noticed newer HPs have tabs that keep the cover(s) firmly in place even after the screws are removed, have to be pryed up gently, see the service manual for instructions and pictures.

I will give it a try. Thanks for the service manual.
Unfortunately the Envy is metal so the tab holding it down is more stuburn that on the DV7's.

I have the same problem on my HP 17. I will be sending it back to the vendor, as I'm unable to open the cover without breaking the plastic.
