Experts Day Envy Overheating Question

Hello,

I've been posting in this forum since September of last year and I have come across quite a few users who purchased the Envy 17 and Envy 15, and one of the big things I have seen is that these models get very hot.  My question to the experts; is this just a fluke for a few users, or is this more likely to be an issue with higher end CPUs and GPUs producing more heat than their predecessors and using a cooling method that really has not changed much in the past few years?

I have the one. it is the GPU, right under your left palm. it gets so hot it hurts and almost leaves a 3rd degree burn.

Hey, {Content Removed} if I let it burn me. I am sure it would if I was dumb enough to leave may hand there long enough. It might be a good coffee warmer.

I am also sure they will not fix this. I suppose I was asking too much for my $1,600.00 Dollars.

I have had trouble, the first ENVY 14 I ordered overheated and bricked itself.  That happend in the first 21 days.

The replacement machine I recieved has an over heating (128 degrees F) travel adapter.   I am worried about fire hazards.
