I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 (prod. # RV214UA#ABA) with Vista Home Premium (32 bit). It has a Logitec wireless mouse with a transmitter chip in USB. The entire touchpad is normal except vertical scrolling. When I slide finger down the scroll bar it simply moves the cursor down. I can only scroll by using the screen's vertical scroll bar while holding down the left click button. I have never done anything with the driver for the touchpad. When I go to contro panel>mouse I get a message: Unable to connect to Synaptics Pointing Device Driver.......Do you want to uninstall Synaptics driver? Also, at this point on the control panel I cannot progress onward to a vertical scrolling setting option. Additionally, the vertical scroll initially worked for several months after installing the wireless mouse.
Thanks very much for any help!
