Fan runs continuously on DV6-1210sa

I’ve searched through a lot of “fan” posts, but none seems to tell me what I want to know… I have a DV6-1210sa laptop about 3 months old. The fan runs continuously. I've downloaded CPUID, and the CPU’s are running at about 58C (136F).

Is this normal? As far as I can see, there’s no fluff in the vents, but I can’t strip down to the heatsink as I think you have to remove the motherboard to get at it! And the machine’s still under warranty.

I'm studying MCSE at the moment, so can’t afford the time to take it in to where I bought it – and to be honest, I wouldn’t want to let their goons touch it anyway.

I understand Athlons run hotter than Pentiums – is the continuous fan by design?

Thanks a lot
