My 2710p tablet has a pointing stick (not trackpad) with the usual two-button configuration below the spacebar. The left button (used to select) has fallen off. Unlike the other keys on the keyboard, the usual "snap back on" method doesn't work. These two keys have a different attachment method, and I cannot get the key to snap back on.
The specific problem seems to be that the "north" side of the key (the one that would face the monitor, when inserted correctly) seems to be designed to either fit below, or in, two metal flanges on the keyboard (see arrow) -- but I cannot get the key's tabs to go in, under or over these metal tabs. I have tried gently raising the tabs (with a screwdriver) and lowering them, nothing works.
Anyone have any ideas? This is a pretty critical key to be missing from they keyboard!
