I'm going to install this video card in my box. It's tight, but I can make it fit. On the GPU box, it mentions it requires a 500x power supply. I had one lying around from an old box I built and hooked it up and the computer wouldn't fire. I'm going to assume that psu is bad and pick up another one this evening, probably an Antec earth power 500w. If anyone has any experience with this combination, please chime in here and let me know if there is anything I'm missing or need to know. Thanks!

That combo would work nicely. Besure that the power supply has the required connections for the graphics card.
