I repaired a hp dv2500 had no thermal paste on the cpu so i repaired that. I put it all back together no power, so i tried to break it down to a specific problem. If i don't put the top cover the one that the trackpad is imbedded into it will power on. Once i put the top casing back on with all the screws in. If doesn't power up. Nothing is touching the motherboard. the power button isn't being interferred with. So i am wondering if its not grounded right or something. Im out of options. I have narrowed it down to the top cover. Any suggestions. Thanks.
