Hi, I purchased this laptop last year, first the hard drive went faulty after a month of use sent it back for repair that was fine, now earlier this year the screen decided to go faulty but it was out of warrenty so, I though i would just use a external monitor for a while using the vga port which was fine but, about a month a go the vga port stopped working an now im just left with the S-Video port which is no where near as good a quality as the vga I can hardly read the writing om te screen. Anyway I am wonderinh short of having to buy a new laptop after just over a year of use I am wondering what the terms of buying a extended warrenty now is and trying to get HP to fix it while I just pay the extended warrenty fee, I am just wondering if I can do that or am I basicly [Edited for language].
Kind regards
Thanks in advance for any advice
Rob

well once the notebooks run out of warranty , To purchase an extended plan with HP , HP will run a diagnostics test on the nb and once the result has passed they will sell you an extended warranty . i dont think so you might get it . and in order to get serviced you laptop ad get your screen fixed it will cost you approx $ 450 ... in that amount if you add extra hundred more bucks you can get a new laptop . try to get an extended warranty when you purchase a notebook , it will be very helpful.
