I am sooooo unbelievably upset with this very expensive dv6000 HP laptop that is now no better than a door stop. What is even more disheartening is the fact that HP knowingly sold a defective product and refuses to work with it's customers to resolve. Once a loyal HP customer, purchasing two laptops, five desktops and 7 printers, even touted the virtues of customer care as others blasted HP's customer no service practices. But it appears customer great service only happens during the time of purchase. What happen to you HP, never thought that you would with greed sell junk!

My laptop is junk as well. So mad when told that HP would not resolve (despite the fact that they new they were selling a defective product) that I put my dv6000 laptop in a closet. However, after receiving today an email from HP to purchase new product, I've decided to post my dissatisfaction in as many forums as possible, including product reviews.
What horrible customer no service, as well a company that knowingly sells junk!

As I read all of the previous complaints I thought maybe I had blogged my complaints in 2009 and 2010 instead of sending HP's president a letter--on three seperate occassions--about this issue and asking them to replace my motherboard. Not only did they not fix my expensive, crappy laptop, even though I sent in to tech support four seperate times, they disregarded my communication.
Maybe the BBB can do something about this. I will file a complaint.

Yep. I have, not one or two but three lap tops from, Yeah you guessed it, your favorite PC Manufacturer, HP.
display problems on my 2 year old dv2500 and scratches on the monitor on two newer HDX lap tops, and they are doing nothing about it after 2 years of people complaining on this and other forums.
No worries everyone! ! ! !. I have found the solution to my problems and yours as well.
DO NOT BUY ANY HP PRODUCTS ANYMORE.
THEY HAVE LOTS OF DESIGN FLAWS AND THEIR ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT IS STILL GETTING PAID TO BUILD JUNK ! ! !
AS LONG AS YOU KEEP BUYING, THEY'LL KEEP BUILDING JUNK ! ! ! ! !
WHY???? BECAUSE THEY FIGURE WE ARE TOO DUMB TO FIGURE IT OUT ! ! ! ! ! AND IF WE KEEP BUYING,,, MAYBE WE ARE.! ! ! !
SO,, WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO?????
With all due respect,,,,,XDELL.
Soon to change my log in name to,,,,,, 4DELL.
Because software issues are better than HP JUNK ! ! !

I also have hp dv7 and dv6000 no problems with dv7 yet but on the 6000 board went out they refuse to help unless i buy that warranty if my dv7 breaks im not going to ever buy hp product ever again . customer satisfaction should be number 1. happy customers mean good bussiness i gladly spend the money if company rationalizes whats important. this christmas i have 3 laptops i need to buy so hp should consider what they are doing. it will eventually cause them.

The MB went out in my dv6000 Tuesday. Took very good care of it. Looks the same today as it did 3 years ago when I first bought it. Disappointed the hear that HP is doing nothing for everyone else. I've also bought a printer and another HP laptop for my mother. Was planning on buying my dad and my wife HP's as well for Christmas. I was going to stick with HP for everything until my LT went out and how it was just a piece from the start. I bought mine in July 08. Now I'm looking for something new (Not HP). They lost atleast 3 more sells from me.

My DV6000 is having issues now--and never worked great; So glad I found this litany of complaints. I was trying to decide to add memory and fix a mysterious virus (that may not even exist) for hundreds of dollars. Plus issues with reactivating from Sleep mode and wirelesss issues. Its not just me or any virus, its this **bleep** piece of crap. I thought it was slow and hot all this time just because its a low-mid range PC. It probably only lasted this long because I always shut it down after a few hours of use and maybe raising it up often on a cheap cool pad. I wonder what the results of the multiple class action suits are? now I'm glad I didn't get the cheap HP Touchpad last month who needs more aggrivation! I'm ready to pay extra for Mac.

The best solution, but can validate the warranty, is to make reballing, but must be very careful because in most places only do reflow, heat the chip and re-run for a few days.
