I'm having a problem with my DV6Z spacebar squeaking when I press it. Is there a way to lift up the key so I don't break it? Could I use WD-40 if it still squeaks after I clean it? Please help. Thanks.

Don't get that can of WD-40 anywhere near your laptop. Organic chemicals and electronics do not mix. You can remove the spacebar and clean around under it with rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip, but getting the key back on is not really easy unless you pay careful attention to how it was attached. The spacebar is actually the easiest to work with because of its size.

How do I get the spacebar to come off though? Do I just pop it off or how should I lift it? It doesn't seem like the old keyboards that were easier to take apart so how should I do it? Thanks.

This may be some help:

Your keyboard is a standard kind, not the chicklets so just get something under the key and pry it up. Look at the video first so you know what is involved in getting it back on, though.
