HP ENVY 15 Series Blank Screen

Anyone having the same problem on Envy 17s?  If so, is it the same solution?

I performed the hard reset on my Envy 15 1011TX, and now even the power adapter is not working

(the power adapter does not show LED after the power plug is plugged in)

Now that the screen seems totally blank, what can I do?  I do believe that that PC boots up properly.  If I buy another monitor, will it automagically work?

Hello,

Try to connect an external monitor to see if you get any video. It should automatically work.

THis will tell you if the problem is with your system board or with the internal screen. If an external monitor works it is your internal screen.

As we get ready for windows 8, i have to say i am steering clear of HP.  Are they the same company that absorbed Compaq back in the day.

Seriously though, if you do not want high blood pressure and an ignorant support department or a product built by retarded engineers, wouldn't recommend HP.

In spite of all the belly aching, they just take a gander at the problems being reported and do not say a word.  Indeed they do think we are dumb.

HP.  You have issues with your systems particularly in the boot process.  Starting there, you think you could research [Google is a free tool you can use] it, identify the design flaw and fix it?

If we can agree the product is substandard we have a framework to turning around waning goodwill.  Yes, if you don't know something, don't say anything but c'mon now - have you tried anything to fix it.  I write this in 2012 and MANY of the posts on here reveal a quite disturbing pattern and profile of your business ethics.

caught an idea i was removed keyboard screws on bottom side ,i just open the keyboard ,fan connection dismandled i start the pc 5 min after pc on then get overheating  then fan connected my pc on easily

BIOS password problem laptop bottom side cmos battery remove and reinsert ,restart pc check sum error will come press f5 to load defaults your issue will clear.

if try this one.     If you are installed graphics software in your system don't uninstall .  Upgrade same operating system and reinstall your os .os installation error will ask to remove graphics software and components  dont remove again you install and upgrade same version ,os .

after that the setup will show setup failure message ,then restart your computer it will automatically start quickly
