I have 1 month old 8560w and it died while I had put on sleep.
Power led is flashing white and amber.
HP says it needs system board replacement but there is no stock and they are backordered. No ETA.
Apparently I am not the only one in our company with this problem.
Not a great feeling when a month old "Elitebook" dies like this..

Same problem here. 2 out of 3 laptops had failed in same fashion within first 2 months of use. I had submitted support case on 1/31 and it is still being backordered with no ETA after escalating many times. Today marks 4 weeks down time and I purchased 4 years next business day support. If you have a chance, please request a replacement laptop RIGHT AWAY or your risk major down time for your organization. Good luck folks.

We've got over a 100 of these and out of the five in the field now two are dead within weeks with just a flashing Lighingbolt. The light flashes from dim then bright at a constant rate. Since the LED does not flash from off to on it's hard to distinguish the flashing in a well light room.
contacting our buyer to return the systems.

HP surely has the serial number and date of production etc. in their systems. Register with HP and create a support ticket.

It's either on the site, alternatively there's a list of support phone numbers you can also use. Check what came with the machine, or the HP support site..
