Hi all,
I have had a HP G62 for around 14 months now (just out of warranty, typical!) and it has developed a fault. Occasionally the AC charger will work and will charge the battery, other times it won't - it really is hit and miss.
I've run the battery health software and it says the battery is healthy, albeit it will only take 90% of the rated capacity now. Occasionally when I plug the laptop into the charge, I get three flashing white LED's next to the charger port - other times it will charge no problem.
When it does manage to actually charge (which is a case of just leaving it in until I see the orange LED on!) the battery discharges normally.
Does anyone have ideas? I don't want to go and waste money buying a battery/charger/motherboard individually to rectify the fault! I've read online that it could be a faulty power circuit on the motherboard, but I'm hoping it could be the charger or battery!
Cheers,
Jamie

This might be just a loose connection hopefully. Try to take out the battery and plug it right back. Also, try to clear some dust on the power port on the laptop. Make sure not to use any liquid in cleaning. ![]()
