Randomly my keyboard and mouse stop working on my laptop....
Keyboard:
When my laptop reaches the login screen my keyboard won't work, I have to put it in to standby mode first, resume the OS and then it starts working again normally.
Mouse:
My mouse doesn't work at all. I have to use a USB mouse
Is there anyway for me to fix this problem?
Specs:
Windows Pavilion dv7
Windows Vista 64 bit
4gb Ram
AMD Turin Dual Core 2.2GHZ
500gb Hard drive
Three years old.

Hi,
Please identify your notebook with its complete product name or product number. Post all of the alphanumeric characters.

Download the update to the HP support assistant and install it.
Start the HP Support Assist and select Maintain and run a TuneUP. There have been numerous BIOS updates since your notebook was released to market. Let the tuneup update the BIOS to the version that it suggests.
