HP Mini, How do I use my web cam?

I just bought this computer and there are no instructions on how to use the webcam? I have looked through the software and nothing relates to webcam. Help

Hello MelStoner,

you should have a YouCAM, software on the computer, open that and that initiates the webcam ... if you do not have it download it here ... SP37849 !

For some reason My mini 1000 did not have any Software for the Cam either from factory WINXP install.  I dont know if its the SSD Version that is missing this software or what.  I havent did a Reinstall, Restore with the CDs DVDs yet. So I don't know if it is on them or not.

You can Test your cam at MY Computer 

Its the last device under the hard disks and Sd cards etc.   You can only snap photos there and thats about it.  If its missing in My Computer then its Disabled in Device Manager.

You can access the basic function of the webcam through My Computer, but Youcam is a cool program because it has a lot of built in effects you can use on Instant Messaging programs and when taking pics and vids with the webcam .. they are neat    lol

Yes, It needs software, No doubt! Kinda useless without it..  Don't know why Its not installed from the Factory Install, or they over looked it.    Wondering if the Mini 1000 HDD versions have it installed.

Yes, it set up the webcam fine. HP needs to add  that link to to the webcam instructions which read "to access the webcam click start, computer then webcam icon. Not very clear.
