Good day, I've just got my HP Pavilion dv7-6163cl Entertainment Notebook PC and it works like a charm, but i got this question, when i was checking the system, it only displays 1 HDD with 495GB (C
when it was supposed to be 1TB ( 2 x 500GB accordly to the web page where i got it) also when i run the HP Support Assistant it display 2 lines on the Hard Drive(s) section:
Hard Drive(s)
Hitachi HTS547550A9E384 (465.76GB)
Hitachi HTS547550A9E384 (465.76GB)
So... does it really have 2 HDD? if that's the case, then how can i use the 2nd HDD, or make it to be visible at My Computer window?
Also... I've tried to play some games and everything worked fine, but I installed the game "Amnesia: The Dark Descent" and it shuts down instantly, I've been reading on the web and they talk about upgrading the drivers or uninstalling... Could someone tell me what to do to get that game to work? Thanks in advance.

Go to Computer in the start menu and right click on it and select "manage"....select disk management and see if you see 2 hard drives there. You may need to assign a drive letter (aka "mount") the second drive by right clicking and selecting "assign drive letter" so you have access to it through Windows Explorer. Frankly HP should have done this at the factory but if the drive is present and working you should still be able to do it yourself. It will look something like this only you should have an identical size disk 0 and a disk 1. Your Windows disk will have more sections (partitions) and the second or storage drive is likely just one big partition:

I did as you said, my 2nd HDD needed to be mounted by giving it a drive letter and it was ready to go in less than a minute.
