HP Pavilion dv7-7010us questions

I am an owner of an I.T. service shop and will be purchasing a

HP Pavilion dv7-7010us for a client.  I have two concerns:

1> I'd assume, based on the other specs (DDR3 & USB3), that this model has a SATA3 HDD but I would like clarification.

2> I intend to clone and replace the stock HDD with a new SSD. I'd like to know if doing so would void the waranty of all other hardware.

Thanks

Re: HP Pavilion dv7-7010us questions

It does support SATA 6Gbps.

No, the warranty is not voided by changing the hard drive.  When you call in for warranty support or repair they usually require you to send the original drive or install it if it comes down to it.

Re: HP Pavilion dv7-7010us questions

Everything was successful . Both client and I are very happy. I put in a high-end SSD and this system is so fast, it's no longer street legal. ;-P Thanks!
