Hi all, thanks for reading this.
My laptop, a dv7t-1000 stopped charging after the power jack was loose for a while. I knew it was really unstable as it actually sparked once or twice when i would fiddle with it right before it stopped working.
The laptop was okay after that I think since I could turn it on. So I ordered this part...

My question is how to install this? I know i just need to connect the cord and luckily I dont have to solder anything, but I can't find any manuals or guides and I'm not sure how I'm going to fit in. It seems like this cord is a lot longer to fit inside the laptop or perhaps its a lot smaller? Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as per usual HP offered to just replace the entire motherboard
Thanks

Here's the manual

It looks like you will have to disassemble up to the switch cover or keyboard.
Good luck
