I have a HP Pavilion dv8t-1100 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC (Windows 7 Professional 64-bit) that seems to run just fine. On a whim, I ran the pre-boot diagnostic check and received the following error code that the hard drive test had failed.
Q7NK1R-52M62E-XD002J-60WW03
Nothing in my PC's performance prompted me to run the diagnostic test, I simply ran it as a double check for the heck of it.
Is this something to be worried about? Of course an error code is always something to look into but since the PC seems to be running just fine is this a true error or simply a nuisance that should be ignored?
I can not remember making any signficant changes lately to the installed software and have made no changes to the hardware at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
MJD
