HP dv6-6c40us under powered AC Adapter

I just purchased an HP dv6-6c40us today and it is reporting that the Smart AC adapter is too small to fully power the machine.  Image attached to show actual message:

I am very disappointed that HP supplies an insufficient power supply for my machine.  I would like HP to provide a proper power supply for my machine.

I would say you are entitled to an appropriate AC adapter. Was this a brand new machine and you opened the box (broke the seal)? Call HP and ask for a replacement adapter ASAP.

Yes, I just received it from a FedEx delivery yesterday afternoon.  I have not even had the machine 24 hours yet.

It might need to have the BIOS updated. The adapter is sufficient for your machine.

Yes, I had contacted HP and update the BIOS is exactly what they had me do.

Yes, I guees it would have been helpful to mention that.  The BIOS update did get rid of the AC adapter power message.
