my net book hp mini 210 2001 sl doesn't start, launching diagnostic the result is hard disk failure, in Bios set up the result of the test is Hard disk missing

Hi:
That error normally means the hard drive has completely failed and you will need to purchase a new one in order remedy the problem.
You will also need recovery media to reload the operating system.

Probably not.
However, you can try to retrieve them by purchasing a SATA to USB notebook hard drive enclosure, plug it into another PC, and see if the disk will spin up and be read by the other PC.
If it can, then you can copy your files from it onto the other PC.
It is a pretty big gamble, but if you are not averse to losing $17 on a bet, then this is what you need...

It wouldn't be a total loss. You would have an external notebook hard drive enclosure that you can use any SATA notebook hard drive in.
