My TX1000 Notebook does not run. When turning on the power the lights flash for a half a sec, then turn off. I have tried all the things from the HP website to revive it. I wanted to know if the MB needs replacing or is there a component that needs replacing?

The TX1000 is one of the ones with all the big problems from the nVidia graphics. Odds are strong it needs a new motherboard. However, there are no good motherboards available. They all have the same manufacturing defect. The money is better put toward a new laptop.
