How do you use the 12 volt battery adapter on the Pavillion g7-13

The power comes from a car cigarettte lighter or an airplane power jack. The other end plugs into the laptop like any other AC adapter. There are two different ends.....the cigarette lighter plug and then a converter to airplane power.

The plug end that plugs into the computer is different than the plug end of the AC adapter and does not appear that it will fit. There doesn't seem to be anyplace on the laptop to plug the 12 volt adapter into the laptop.

The AC adpater has a male end and the 12 volt adapter seems to be female.

Thus the question.

There should be a barrel plug adapter on the device that is just like the thing on the regular AC adapter that plugs into your laptop. Without that, it is useless to you. We will call that the "laptop" end. In the middle is a box or brick. At the other end are two adapters that plug into a power source. There is an adapter that gets power from a car cigarette lighter and then that adapter plugs into a cable that can be removed, ending in a strange looking round plug with two prongs in it. That plugs into a power supply in an airline seat if you are lucky enough to get one on a flight.

Neither adapter was in the bag that had the DC power device. I will look more carefully through the box to see if they might have fallen out.
