I have pavilion g6 1003tx notebook with windows 7 64 bit os, intel core i5 processor 4gb ram.
my laptop is getting heated very quickly and on playing few games it hibernates automatically. thrice on switching on my laptop i have got the message that my cpu fan has stopped working and the laptop will shutdown in 15 seconds. sometimes while watching videos it hibernates itself due to overheating. i think my graphix card is also not functioning properly as while playing games black strpes occur on my screen. my laptop is in warranty period. please help.

Yes that is a major issue. I would try to get some screen shots or pictures of the screen issues and call HP for a repair. Include the pictures in the box with the laptop. On the repair sheet ask them to focus on the graphics card and the heatsink/cooling fan.

Thanks... fortunately there was no problem with the graphics card a lot of dust had collected near the cooling sink. The laptop is working just fine now.
