I am hoping there is someone here who can help me. I have scoured several threads here and on lightscribe forums and I'm not seeing a resolve. I wouldn't say I'm a novice user, so hopefully I am not wasting anyones time.
I recently bought a HP DM4 1300ea laptop (64-bit Windows 7 home), I'm trying to use Roxio 10 to burn the LS disc but don't even get that far... It's quite shocking that a new HP netbook with built-in LS drive doesn't come shipped with the LS software, and in week one I'm having to work hard to get this LS drive to work.
I have installed (1.18.23.1), the diagnostics tool also - the drive is not recognised as lightscribe. I uninstalled and used HP firmware from the support site for this PC which install v1.18.22.2. Still no luck.
I think I need to update DVD drivers... drive shows as "HP CDDVDW TS-U633J" and driver is Microsoft from 2006 (v6.1.7600.16385) which looks like standard DVD drivers. HP support site has nothing and all I can find when I google this are dodgy driver websites... such as http://www.pcpitstop.com/drivers/download/hp~CDDVD
I'd really appreciate some help here ![]()

Are you sure that the optical drive has lightscibe? Occurring to the model's spec sheet lightscibe is not mentioned, that usually means that the drive does not have lightscibe
