More Memory for HP MINI

I purchased 2 gigs of memory and installed it but that didn't help my free disc space...it is slower than mud...how can I fix this?

I am traveling to England in January. What power supply is available to me for the mini 1000? All the power sources appear to be 110 V and with USA plugs.

Is it as simple as getting the correct power cord extension for the existing AC adapter?

The AC transformer is universal 50-60 Hz, 110-240 V. I just used a English to US plug adapter and plugged it in. I used my 1030NR for two weeks in Ireland.

I have used my laptops in both the UK and the US with no problems.

The PSU is a switched mode device, rated at 110~240v 50 or 60 Hz. because it is switched mode, it adjusts itself to produce a constant output.

You can either buy a UK/US adapter or a US/UK travel adapter, depending on your set up, or, in the UK, you can buy a new lead and replace the US lead - the psu has a standard figure of eight socket on the input. Such leads are available at Maplins for a few pounds.

Hi, Does anyone know if HP sells one or more parts for the HP Mini 210 that will enable Dualband wireless N, bluetooth and 3G?

I've checked broadcom's website and it does seem possible.

I'm stuck with a broken HP Mini and have accessories to sell! I may as well have a friend list them on eBay, cuz this computer is toast after one year of little use.

The keyboard does not work. Naturally, this manifests itself just after the warranty expires, and HP wants another hundred bucks just to talk to some tech halfway across the globe.

My last computer was put together at a local shop. They don't charge a hundred bucks just to chat. They won't touch HPs.

I have the HP Mini 210-1076NR computer and I would like to upgrade the memory in it.
What is the max. I may install and what do i need as far as DDR2 or DDR3, 667 mhz or 800 mhz ?
Also where would you suggest That I order it from ?
I am also looking to buy a dvd rw drive as well.
Any advise you may have to offer me would be great.

You should have no problems with this at all. 

I have a 210-2072CL and tried all sorts of memory upgrades that I purchased locally and none would work.  My model takes only DDR3 (which has a different configuration than DDR2, the slots are different), but many others whose models also use DDR2 memory, such as your's, have had problems trying to upgrade their RAM to 2GB.  Seems the problem is that the memory controller wants to use only certain types of configured memory modules.   RAM modules come in many flavors, some have 8 chips on them whereas many have 16 chips (8 front and 8 back).    Check your OEM RAM module and see what it has.....I've not looked at your model specifically, but I'm willing to bet it has only 8 chips on the module (4 front and 4 back).   

The nice thing about Crucial is that they've now actually tested all of the recommended RAM modules with each of the specific HP Mini models, and (so they say) all of their memory upgrade recommendations are tested and known to work with each model. 

Anyone else interested in upgrading memory, please know that you MUST know your specific model number.  It's not enough to know that you have a "210" or a "110" etc.    If you don't know where to find the model number, there are any number of ways to do it.   The easiest way is to look at the label on the box that your unit came in.  If you don't have the box, you can look behind the battery (take it out and you will find a "PN" or Product Number, and use that at the HP support website to find the model number.  Then use that number at Crucial's website to find out which RAM modules to use for a memory upgrade.  You can also try the Crucial scan, but it's not as reliable as knowing the actual model number.
