If you haven't done a disk defragmentation in a long time, you should consider doing one. It should help a lot. It would also help to do a disk cleanup

Are you saying that internet is slow or that the whole computer's performance is slow? Often times a computer can work perfectly fast offline and slow down bad in online environment due to a number of factors. Can you be more specific.

Maybe you have a lot of junk that wants to start up, and is running in the background that you do not need.
I would check out what is running!! [ go to start-run type in msconfig hit ok ]
That will show you whats running.
Do a google search what you find running under the tab startup, and look under services too.
Do a spyware scan!!
Check out my blog:http://spycji.blogspot.com/
I hope this helps.
