Memory Upgrades

I have a HP desktop a1430n and would like to add more memory.   I am running Vista 64.   How much memory can I add that will be addressable.

Re: Memory Upgrades

After posting this same question on Sun. I realized it has been answered many times. Go to>Crucial.com.Tthis site

will tell you everything you need to know. I have not checked prices so I cannot compare store bought versus online.

That would depend on where you live.

Re: Memory Upgrades

Hi there,

the following link should give you an idea as to how much memory you can add

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bph03886&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&...

also, your model is only capable of handling 4GB for it's max capacities.

Re: Memory Upgrades

Jim-it would be a good idea to post the results of the info given you. Just a correction on Beningo's reply. Although 32bit processors have only the ability to use up to 4GB  of ram; this does not apply for you due to your processor being 64bit.. A good point to remember for anyone upgrading memory.
