After posting this same question on Sun. I realized it has been answered many times. Go to>Crucial.com.Tthis site
will tell you everything you need to know. I have not checked prices so I cannot compare store bought versus online.
That would depend on where you live.

Hi there,
the following link should give you an idea as to how much memory you can add
also, your model is only capable of handling 4GB for it's max capacities.

Jim-it would be a good idea to post the results of the info given you. Just a correction on Beningo's reply. Although 32bit processors have only the ability to use up to 4GB of ram; this does not apply for you due to your processor being 64bit.. A good point to remember for anyone upgrading memory.
