I have a HP pavallion Dv5 - 1106ax with ADM proccessor , windows vista 32 bit it opens and goes off in 4 secs and i got it diagnosed they told me its motherboard died. Its 2 years old and I want to get it replaced so what is the cost to get that done?
Yeah i already tried AC and battery ..thats not the problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

HP will do the motherboard replacement for around $400. You can likely get it for more like $250-300 from a local shop and if you can do the labor yourself the board is going to cost about $150.
Here is the Service Manual:
You can also find motherboard repair services on the internet and ebay. You have to ship them the laptop. Rather than replace your board, they can fix components. The cost of that is going to be closer to the cost of the replacement board, perhaps as little as $70-80. It depends on what is wrong with it. It is hard to find local shops that can repair a board at the component level since to do it right takes very complex equipment.
