My computer has been losing one part after another, now it wont boot after a rough shut down. Help??

Ok anyone got ideas. My mom owns a HP dv9000 and parts have been slowly breaking on it. I lost the wireless card, then the disk tray, then the mouse pad, then a USB port. Now it froze up so i rough shuted it down and tried to start it back up, just to have it try to boot for 5 seconds then shut down, then do it all over again. Any help?

Sounds like the system board.  But you could try a hard reset. You can do this by removing the battery and unplugging the AC Adapter. Then press and hold the power button on the laptop for about 30 seconds, then put the battery back in and plug in the AC Adapter and try turning it on again.
