Hi I am looking for HP Pavilion DV6z Select Edition,
I am very much impressed with this configuration.
AMD Phenomenon II Quadcore, ATI 1 GB Graphics 6560 model
500 GB Hard disk. 4GB RAM..,.along with BACKLIT Keyboard.
But, I am so much dissappointed that I am not getting this model in India.
I will try for few more days.. If it is available I will be very lucky... Or else I wouldl like to go for DELL LAPTOPS.

I had the same problem! However, I pressed a button i.e., f5 on the first row of buttons and it turned the lights on immediately![]()

Hi guys,
Little question; is it possible to implant a backlight keyboard from another model into a HP 6465b?
Thanks in advance

That is so cool, thank you. I didn't even realise I had a backlit keyboard! I hit those 3 squares, and Wow! now so easy to see those dam red letters!

I just purchased a HP Desktop with the blacklit keyboard. It has the beats logo where the B is on the keyboard. It and the computer came with no documentation or even instruction manual. The sunset symbol is the control for the blacklight brightness levels. I still have no idea what the beats symbol is for. This is the last HP computer that I will ever purchase. It's a good computer but HP has no legitimate backup. The speakers I bought for it are lousy. The left speaker has a constant buzzing and will not stop unless I unplug the usb port. I called HP and was transferred 6 times. I have two portable phones and after being on hold for over 70 minutes, the batteries on both ran down and I had to give up. My last HP came with tons of documentation that was very useful and I had not problems getting help with customer service. This is not the case anymore. Those of you out there thinking that HP support is readily available is in for a bad surprise. This is not the same company it was three years ago. If you feel you will not need any help with your HP computer, then you may be in good hands. If my housekeeper had not thrown the box away, this computer would have been returned. I am very disappointed with HP. I have 7 valid issues with my new HP computer and hope that I will eventually get them resolved. Hope all you others have had a better experience with your new HP.

Yes!!! Thank you! Everyone kept saying hold Fn and space bar, but it wasn't turning on. I feared the worst (that they screwed up and didn't send me the right computer), then you said press f5, and bam! Super cool! Thank you so much!

Very odd how this info is so well hidden and undocumented. I tried all the suggestions, but eventually found the backlight operation key 6 from the left in the top row function keys. Thought for a minute Ièd have to send my new box back ;(
