New HP Backlit Keyboard

Is there anything specific that needs to be done to turn on the backlit keyboard?

I received my new HDX but the backlit keyboard is not turning.  HP Support has no idea how to support this since its so new..

You hold the Function [Fn] key and tap the Spacebar once...that enables/disables it. 

You can easily tell if it's a backlit keyboard because the spacebar will have a keyboard icon on the left hand side.

Yup, the above is correct.  If you have a backlit keyboard, look for the keyboard light icon on the leftside of your space bar.  I felt dumb after calling the support rep, but than again, its not like there is any documentation showing you how to do this.  It's pretty cool that you can disable this feature, especially when playing movies.

I just can't find the icon, and when I hold the Function [Fn] key and tap the Spacebar once, It never is enable. Can I turn on it, using control panel? or any other instruction?

i have the new hp pavilion dv7-17.3", the one with the beats speakers.

i am woundering if the backlit keyboard is already installed in it ?

that is the laptop i got and i dont think it has the backlit keyboard, unfortunately.

I have a brand new dv6-3250 with the backlit keyboard.  No matter how many times I hit the button (it has its own with the 3 squares) and try the troubleshooting tips it does not turn on.  Any ideas?

I found the key above the backspace key between print screen and delete.
