I'm guessing the video card that came with my laptop is not completely "real" because i cant update my graphics card using nvidas site or their drivers, the only way is to do it via this site, well the newest one from this site is out, but the game i bought (gta 4) needs new drivers from nvidia to play i have a x64 unit and I downloaded the software it is in beta but should still work on my card, however it doesnt. Is hp going to update their drivers for our "special" cards? thanks in advanced.
fyi: these are the drivers Gta nvidia page(opens in a new window)
specs:
windows vista premium home, x64
4.00 gb ram, 9600 M GT video card.

There's more info specific to GTA IV on Laptopvideo2go's homepage, but at this moment in time they only have 180.7 series pre-modded for mobile chipsets, not 180.84 you linked.
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
Or you can use the nvmodtool from driverheaven to make the driver you linked (180.84) or any other semi-modern driver work.
http://www.driverheaven.net/nvmodtool.php
Or since I was interested in what's supposed to be special about 180.84 enough that they're suggesting use of a beta driver, I went ahead and downloaded it and modded it myself so if you just want the modded INF file needed (Cancel driver installation after it extracts the files to a folder, then copy new INF file to that folder overwriting the old INF file before running Setup.exe).
180.84 mobile modifed INF file from nvmodtool:
