The problems started when I installed Feurio. I used it to burn a cue-sheet CD, resulting in failure. Now, not only does the program no longer burn properly, but it's caused all sorts of problems! For one, the OS (My Computer) acts as if the CD doesn't exist! This applies for CD-Rs, audio CDs, AND data CDs!. This affects a number of programs, including MagicDisc and Exact Audio Copy. Only Burrrn, Feurio, and WMP (along with all sorts of media players) recognize a CD in the drive. EAC recognizes an audio CD, but not a CD-R.
My computer is a dv7-1335nr with Vista 64. The drive is listed as TSSTcorp TS-L633L, and the driver is a simple generic Windows driver.

yep, a classic issue.
The thrid party software you installed also created a filter on your optical drive's registry sub-key.
You need to get in there and delete that filter.
Here are the instructions, which you should follow to the letter, as the registry editor is a dangerous place to be playing fast an loose:
click on start, type "regedit" in the start search menu
when regedit pops up in the list, right click on it and run as administrator.
first thing to do is make a backup, so click file->export and save a backup of the registry
now, expand the folder "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
now expand the folder "SYSTEM"
under system, expand "CurrentControlSet"
under that, expand "Control"
now expand "Class"
now look for the folder "{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}"
highlight that folder and look on the right pane for "UpperFilters" or "LowerFilters"
If you see either of those, delete them.
Now close the registry editor.
Windows will now recognize your optical media.
