Owner of Pavilion Dv5 1007tx Notebook Keyboard Failure!

Hi there i am blast form the past  i have one  of these plastic chinese made machines. I ve owned the machine since since 2008 without too much problems regards hardware, however now i have a serious issue with keyboard failure.Several of the keys have simply stopped working altogether. I ve been forced to use an external keyboard which is ofcause only a band aid solution.

I have taken machine to be repaid by local tech (not hp) whom  put in a new keyboard however this has not solved the issue and now instead of the same keys not working now different keys are not responding.

I have also tried uninstalling keyboard drivers from Device manager however this has not solved the issue either.  I am at my wits end will toss this thing as soon as I set aside the budget to buy a new notebook. However wanted to know if there is anyone here that can save this machine before its inevitable fate bound for some third world  tech tip. By way the since hp does not support many of the legacy drivers on older machines i am not suprsied they may just one day stop working! So any ideas Hp tech Gurus.

Just to note 

OS is Win 7 32 bit, Service pack 1.

Help Would be much Appreciated
