Pavilion dv7 Battery

Hello everyone,

I have Notebook HP Pavilion dv7.

I have purchased it from 2008, and the battery has gone, it does not work any more, and does not charge. I am using my laptop with ac power all the time.

Yesterday i bought a battery, i have purchased it from Singapore. 

The problem is that this batteri, is charging up to 100%, and i goues down for just one hour from 100% to 0%.

And at 0% it stays for about approx. 2 additional hours. And i don't know when it is going to shut down.

I have tried with calibration of battery, and every think but it is still like firs time. I have installed HP Battery Check and it says.

I need suggestions from you, how to deal with this situation, or how to fix this problem.

Return the battery for a refund or another new one.

Is it a genuine HP branded battery?

It is a Genuine HP battery, but I believe it is a refurbished one (by third party not by HP).

I bought it from Singapore on eBay, the posting would cost more than the price of the battery so returning is not an option.

Can you please give me any suggestions on how can I try to calibrate this battery?

I think the battery is defective, I have never heard of a refurbished notebook battery.
