Pavillion DV5 1015ea Black screen help!!!!!

My laptop loads the bios and passes all memory/harddrive tests but will not boot from HD or CD it hangs at a black screen. I get a brief flash at the bottom of the screen which I think says "loading OS" but i cant be certain as it happens too quick to read. I have done a hard reset and removed and reseated the memory and bios battery to no avail, does anyone have any other suggestions please.

Does anyone have any idea's what the problem could be?

 

Also I have no beeps or flashing lights, the caps lock and number lock light up briefly, but think thats the norm when powering up.
