Pavillion tx2000: Black screen, 2 blinking lights all others on, fan running, no boot

I've been having this issue for a few month now and I am tired of using the blower to revive my HP Pavillon tx 2000.

I have a compaq presario that's like over 10 years old and it's still works, and this is my newest computer and two years after I bought It start getting this issue of Blank screen and the fan runs the three sounds are always on, expect for the middle that is always red.  Not sure if it means anything.

But, I am really tired and I have always been a customer of HP, but if I have to buy another computer, it will not be HP.

I always have to use the blower to heat up the hard drive for 3 to 5 minutes and then it will start again, but now it seams to be happening more often.  Don't know what else to do.  I want to know the permanent fix for this.

If it boots and hard drive is the issue, I would clone it asap; maybe Ghost it to dvd's. I've about given up on mine and am using my 2004 HP laptop. No more HP's for me since they seem to have forgotten about quality control.

I have the HP Pavillion dv4-1222 laptop and mine just starting acting up...it wouldn't come on when I opened the lid but I turned it off and on twice and it finally rebooted but now I have the flashing lights byt the shift key and above the scroll key...like everyone else my laptop is not that old but out of warranty...I have been a dedicated HP user...I might have to rethink that if this computer dies!

Hi, I actually was a loyal costumer to HP products. But this problem my dillute my loyalty. This black screen problem occured twice on my laptop. At the first time my friend could help me by connected to another PC screen and pressing buttons Fn+F3. Unfortunately, this morning My laptop got the same problem and we could not solve with the same solution. HP, could you provide us a solution to fix the problem?

Same thing happened to me. Sounds like I should not bother replacing the motherboard. **bleep** product. Prib not by hp again.

I am looking for a replacement and it wont be a HP.  Never had a laptop or any pc fail after 18 months.
