The DVD drive is listed in the BIOS setup. However, I've tried to boot from it (no success, even though there's clearly activity inside the DVD drive) and it's not seen by Windows. I've looked at the registry and done the upper / lower limits fix, but no good. There's no DVD / CD drive entry in the device manager.
I've trawles the interet for remedies and tried everything suggested, so now out of ideas.
