Presario CQ60 not starting

Hi

 

I have a CQ60 which is not starting. After the power is applied, the wireless light begins blinking rapidly but nothing else happens. It doesn't matter whether or not the battery is in place.

 

I have tried a hard reset, checked ram, checked wireless card, dvd, HD, keyboard and anything else I can safely remove.

 

Has anyone come across this before - I can find no mention of this in the troubleshooting guides.

Hi Jim,

 

Have you found a solution to this?  The same thing happend to my CQ60 tonite.  I was using it on battery (not low) the screen went dark so i turned off the computer and now it won't power up.  the middle light blinks three times if i press while the battery is in but the computer does nothing when battery removed and ac adaptor is plugged in.  i desperately  need my files from my disk and wonder what's up.  did you get yours working again?
