Problem with touchpad

My touch pad used to have a white light around it when it was active. But today I turned the computer on and the light was off. Touch pad works correctly without any errors. When it's deactivated the light is red. But it's not white when the touch pad is active. Rebooting computer wasn't helpful. Any solutions?

Re: Problem with touchpad

incase you can see amber(Red) light when TP is disabled and just not see the white when TP is enabled. I think the white LED has gone faulty. Please contact HP customer support team to have the Touchpad replaced if this is covered under warranty.
