Re: Processor upgrade for dv7 1134US

Yes it is posible but highly not recommended.

The maximum upgrade for CPU is ZM88 (Socket S1G2)

However, only CPUs below are listed for your model, see  Maintenance and Service Guide

AMD Turion™ Ultra Dual-Core 35W ZM-86 2.40-GHz with 2-MB L2 cache

AMD Turion Ultra Dual-Core 35W ZM-82 2.20-GHz, with 2-MB L2 cache

AMD Turion Ultra Dual-Core 35W ZM-80 2.10-GHz, with 2-MB L2 cache

AMD Turion Dual-Core 35W RM-70 2.00-GHz with 1-MB L2 cache

AMD Athlon™ X2 Dual-Core 35W QL-60 1.90-GHz with 1-MB L2 cache

In my personal opinion, you wont notice the different, the current one is fast enough for most of office applications.

______

Pavilion DV2922TX, XP-SP3 32bit, Intel T5750 2.0Ghz, Nvidia Geforce 8400M GS with 128MB, 4GB 667 DDR2, 250GB HDD
