Remote Control on my HDX 18

I am having no luck getting the mini-remote to work on my x64 WIndows 7 clean install.  I've tried the driver installs, nothing seems to work.  I'll be quite honest, I'm not very familiar with the installation of IR Remote Controls, so perhaps I'm just missing a step.   I thought I could just install the drivers, then use the remote to control volume and stuff, but it does nothing.  Is there some piece of software I have to install once the drivers for the IR are installed in order to get it working? 

 

I've included two screen shots:

 

1) The ENE CIR, and ehome devices listed in the device manager, without any red "x's" or anything

2) The properties of the ENE CIR device, resources tab, I noticed there's a conflict in the memory range 380-383, thought that might have something to do with it. 

 

Yes, I checked the batteries :smileyhappy:  I'm getting above 3vCIR.jpg
