I have a Compaq Presario CQ60. I had issues with my battery around 6 months ago and had obtained a replacement battery as my laptop was still under warranty. Now after 6 months, the replacement battery too is giving me issues. Dischanrges in less than 30 mins. When i called HP Support, i was told that since the warranty for my Compaq Presario CQ60 has expired, even though the replacement battery is less than a year old, it will not be covered under warranty. But at the time i got the replacement battery i was told i would have a full years warranty on it.
I wanted to know if HP will replace the replacement battery for me.

Typically replacement parts including batteries and AC adapters provided under warranty have a short warranty like 90 days and are warranted for the longer of 90 days or the remaining original warranty.

Thanks. I did come across that on the warranty statement. So i am just left with the option buying a battery.

If it is any consolation, if you buy it you do get a full 1 year warranty.
