The subject line pretty much says it all. I need to know what, if any, blu-ray unit I would need to order. I'm running Win 7 Pro, 64bit. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken

Here you go:
I assume you just want to watch Blu Ray movies and not burn Blu Ray disks? You will also need a compatible Blu Ray media player like a recent version of Power DVD.
Let us know if you need help with installation. Flip it over, there is one screw to remove with a disk drive icon next to it. Remove it and then you can slide the old drive out. Just slide the new one in and replace the screw.

Thank you Distinguished Professor Huffer. Unit is on order. If I have any problems do I open another session?

OK professor Huffer, I bought the recommended drive, Blu-Ray-Combo-DVD-RW-Burner-Drive-CT10L, now, how do I replace the faceplate on the new drive with the original optical drives faceplate? I think the only problem is taking the faceplate, which flows with the shape of the laptop, off the old drive and putting it on the new one but I don't see screws or tabs to do that.
The latch and ribbon cable on the back end should be fairly easy to do. It's the front that is the problem.
BTW, on the dv4 there is a slide latch which, when slid, the drive pops out. Don't need to take out the screw.
Any suggestions?
Thx,
