Pavilion g6 Notebook
64bit Windows7
Got this laptop not too long ago, but this error started showing not long after I bought it. It was the second laptop I exchanged it for but I don't know why I didn't exchange it once the errors started showing. Anyways, once booted up, the iminent black SMART error screen always pops up.
"SMART hard disk error
SMART hard disk check detected an iminent failure.. etc etc
F2 - system diagnostics"
Obviously I click F2, then BAM
"Failure ID: u08dxr-5l561t-mfgh4j-608a03
Product ID: lh619ua#abc"
Nothing for me to do there so I press ENTER and use my computer as normal. I have looked online for the error ID but nobody (that google can find) has the identical error ID as I do. I will have to find the receipt for my laptop to see if I have a warrenty, but in the meantime, I ask the forum for support. What does my error mean and why is it so hard to troubleshoot on your own? What is the point of an error ID if I cannot look up the cause and solution to my problem?
Help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
