TX1000z-Touch Screen No Longer Works

Had my tx1000z for near on a year now, up untill a week or so ago the touch screen worked fine.

Other than windows and hp updates no changes have been made and it just stopped. Going to calibration settings it claims no device detected.

I cant find specific drivers for touchscreen, looked hard and long. I have no uninstalled devices in device manager so i am totally stumped.

2 other posts come up when searching touch screen not working, no info is there. The only FAQ related is a basic "how to use" touch screen no troubleshooting. I know how to use the blanking thing, used it fine for many months up untill now!

Any help or input is appreceated.

Has your computer started to run hotter then when it was new?  Anything else not work quite right?

Temps are pretty well idenitcal to when new.

Idle temps on perfomance mode %100 cpu

cpu:57c

gpu:75c

Im almost certain those are identical to when it was new, and cooler than the other 2 laptops i have, this old toshiba regulerly hits 80-90c across the board,and its a p3 so its been running many a year like that.

Other than touch screen not working, the tablet is running flawless.

Im a gamer, so offcourse i have a dedicated gaming pc and this tablet is just a MSN box for the most part,occasionally hosting a deciated server and i use it for watching high def content on my LCD tv.

Im suspicous that it has somehow got confused when switching from the external non touchscreen lcd to the internal one.

Of note, it no longer displays the on screen KB, it used to run all the time when the touch screen was operational.Like it was there on the logon screen.ive managed to toggle the on screen kb on from somwhere in the cp, but the touchscreen itself was still non-functioning.
