I bought a Tablet PCtx2000 in June 2008. In approx March/April 2010 my computer would not start, I went back to Staples where I had purchased it and they were very helpful. They returned it to HP who repaired it free of charge and returned it to me. It has worked OK untl now apart from being slow at times . Then suddenly the screen faded and it stopped working. I had someone look at it and they told me the GPU was burnt out as the computer's cooling system does work very well. I rang HP and just got the run around then their sales dept. said they would repair out of warranty at my cost but after looking at websites I have found this is not worth having done as the problem will only happen again. What now!!
I will definitely not be buying another computer from HP.!!!

I too have the wireless probllem on my Tx2000z -- totally dead. I have tried reinstalling drivers, etc. Others here have described black screens on start up as well. Many times on start up, I do not get a black screen, I see the usual splash screen, but then comes the BSOD and a memory dump. The system reboots and wants to do a Windows repair but I tell it to start Windows normally. At this point 50% of the time I get another BSOD otherwise it starts like it should. If I got a 2nd BSOD, then the third time is a charm and it does eventually start.
To date I have not contacted HP about these problems. My Tx2000z is probably 3 years old so I figure that I am out of luck there. However, such a widespread problem is indicative of a defective product and just because the warranty has expired, that does not mean that one cannot seek recourse under the Consumer Protection Act or other federal and state products liability statutes. The large numbers of consumers involved makes this a prime candidate for a class action suit. If there is any interest here, post a reply and we will see where this goes.

I have just read your message regarding the tx2000 I did complain to HP but got no help at all because my computer was out of warranty so didn't think it was worth it. I agree with you that HP do know this is an ongoing problem and think they should have the decency to come to an agreement with all us poor idiots that paid out our hard earned cash for their product. We need everyone with this same problem to get together.
